3h43min

I had never doubted the fact, but 3 hours and 43 minutes later, it's confirmed. Worth every last penny and more. My goodness. I had some issues with the flow of the normal edition. Some of the pacing seemed a bit off here and there. But now having see the whole thing in it's entirety, all the extra scenes make it soooooo smooooth. I could understand why Peter Jackson had to cut so much of it. After all, the normal viewing "non-fanatic" public wouldn't want to sit through more than 3 hours of film. It's too bad really, because many people will never see the extended version, and will miss out on so much. [Spoilers] There's some pretty important stuff that was cut, like the relationship between the Steward of Gondor and Boromir and Faramir, some of Elessar's past, etc., but I guess it wasn't crucial to the movie so it had to have been cut from the original. A lot of the stuff they added was comedy too. Merry and Pippin drinking the ent water, M&P finding the weed, Eowyn being a terrible chef... hahahaha... good stuff. There's also some added stuff at the end that make it all the better as well. [End Spoilers] You should definitely make it your business to see this movie. Every minute is worth watching. I got it at around 11am yesteday at Futureshop. Like Reloaded, every person in line had a copy. Expcept this time, it was in real danger of being sold out. When I got there, there were maybe 10 left. Whew. Now to watch all the appendicies....
