Chut cheen yut ding!!!
Ok, it's been well over 5 months since I've eaten it (those wicked Chinese instant noodles, for you who don't know). Man, just finished two packs, and it was better than I had remembered. That sesame oil really does it. Does anyone know the story behind why these were banned though? I had heard it was because there was too much beef product in the msg packets, but I have no evidence to prove that was the case. Anyway, I didn't even find out about this ban until it was too alte (or so I thought). When I had asked my parents to pick me up a box for here in Waterloo at the beginning of September, they had told me all of the Chinese supermarkets in Scarborough were sold out. I thought that was rather odd and didn't really think very much of it. Then I started asking around and heard about the ban. Apparently there's a black market for them now. I have no idea if there's any truth to this at all... but still, Gerrome and I both picked up two boxes each last weekend while we were in Toronto at the supermarket behind PMall (go quickly, they'll be gone soon), Chicken Flavour, of course. Now I have to ration out the two boxes for possibly the next two terms. Oh well, I guess that's a good thing, since it must've been banned for good reason in the first place... I wonder if I can start my own black market if there isn't already one... Hmm....
