Almost done

I’m at the end of the second-last week of work here at CIBC. It’s been a pretty good term. The job has definitely been better than the one I had at Sun Life, although, that’s not really saying much now is it? The work’s been more interesting, the office is much more lively, and I think the environment is generally just better. Of course, this all comes at the cost of a slightly lower wage, but hey, some prices you have to pay for good experience. I spoke to the HR lady here at CIBC who’s in charge of the student program (which consists of something like 150 students… wow indeed). After a good review from both of my managers, it looks like they want me back for next term. Hmm… should I take them up on that offer? Well, it actually gets a bit better. Since I’ll be a returning student, I’ll get preference as to what position I really want. Not only that, but having told them that I want to explore my options, they’re going to give me a bit more time to figure out whether or not I like what the co-op program has to offer in terms of other jobs before I have to respond. Awesoma powa! Let’s just hope they’re going to offer a significant wage increase, ‘cause after next term, I’ll be in school for 16 months in a row, and that’s just going to be crazy without a solid bankroll to back me up. We shall see….

In other news, the Raptors official suck ass, as in, jute see phut. More importantly though, Rob Babcock sucks ass. There are reports now that VC made an offer to change around the court arrangements so he’d be playing with other players and hopefully turn the season around, but apparently, even though he has Sam Mitchell’s backing, didn’t sit well with Babcock. Not that I necessarily believe Vince, since he’s still a jackass-cry baby, but still, something like this wouldn’t surprise me at all. This franchise is going to hell in a hand basket rather quickly, and we the fans are the ones ultimately paying the price. It’s sad because I used to really enjoy watching the Raps. Now I only watch to see them destroyed or to have a good laugh.
