GT4. Oh. My. Goodness.

I picked up a copy after work yesterday and played for about 4 hours, taking breaks for dinner and a bit of the Raptors game (more of that in a sec). Yo, this game is sick. The original Gran Turismo was crazy good for its time. The physics engine was considered the most realistic among all of its competition, the realism of the cars and tracks were unparalleled. GT2 and GT3 were equally impressive with the latter seemingly being the pinnacle of the series. Oh how I was wrong. Don’t misunderstand now, GT3 was and is amazing, but GT4… wow. You’d think that they couldn’t really improve that much on the stuff in GT3 besides adding tracks and updating the cars. But oh no, there’s much more than just that. The graphics are insane. The amount of detail they’ve packed into this is unbelievable. They have tracks from all around the world (including Suzuka, the Motegi rings, and the Nurburgring), as well as different cities you can race through (like NY and HK). And the physics… you really don’t realize how much is missing in GT3 until you’ve played the latest. Craziness. For those of you who couldn’t care less, I’ll stop here. And if you do care, come and witness it for yourself.

The Raptors though… actually won last night. That’s quite a rarity these days. More importantly though, they brought the game to Vince’s FACE. Just watching the game last night, you could tell some things never really change. Sure, he’s playing better ball now that he’s in NJ, but he’s still the same crybaby and whiner. You should’ve seen how many times he made that stupid face when he didn’t get a foul call. But anyway, we mashed them up. I can’t wait till they come to visit on April 15th. I’m thinking about getting tickets, even if I have to pay prime dollar. He’s going to get booed so hard… hahahaha.
