Back in Loo

Yes, it’s been a while since I’ve last posted. Guess, I’ve been both a little busy and a little lazy. Okay, a lot lazy, but whatever. The holidays were pretty good, got a chance to see a lot of people that I haven’t seen in a while. It all started on Wednesday the 18th, when I rushed back from writing my final exam to see The Two Towers at the Paramount. Man, it was everything I had expected it to be, and then some. Although it didn’t nearly cover enough from the book as I thought it would, and the pacing seemed a little iffy at times, the movie really did an awesome job visualizing Tolkien’s work. So good actually, that I went to see it a second time the week after – well worth the money.

Did the usual stuff too, church banquet… which was interesting as usual, and church service. K-Dog got dunked, despite being distracted by certain people, ahem ahem. The service was a little weird though, mainly because they had to split the service into two different ones on the 23rd and the 24th due to the size of our combined congregations. The sanctuary felt a little empty during the service, but the atmosphere was still there. Didn’t really do much for new years, just stayed home as a lot of people ended up doing as far as I know. But it’s all good, didn’t really feel like there was much to celebrate this new year. Not that 2002 was a bad year or anything, but there wasn’t much of a build up or anything this year.

We also had that big snow fall in Toronto a couple days ago. Man, it was a good 6”-7” of snow. Shovelling wasn’t a big deal though, ‘cause my brothers and I had a pretty good time with it. We basically shovelled all the snow from our driveway onto our lawn, more specifically into a big hill that we converted into a bobsled/tobogganing run. The hill itself had to be about 5’ tall, so with a good run up, we could get enough momentum to slide all the way down our lawn and into the sidewalk. Lots of fun. We all have the bruises to show for it too. Pictures will hopefully be posted soon.

Anyway, that’s it for now. I moved back in here Saturday night, and I’m sorta getting ready for school. Oh well, just another 4 months, shouldn’t be too bad. Maybe I’ll actually this term…
