Frustrated

Surprisingly enough, with Rogers. Oh my freaking goodness. So, for those of you who don’t know, Jon and I have been trying to play/learn the intricacies of Warcraft III: TFT for the last couple of months (with what little free time I have now between work, church, and other commitments). That is, we’ve been trying to climb the 2v2 ladder. If you know anything about this game at all, this isn’t exactly easy. When we first started out, we basically had no idea how to play well (although, if you had asked us back then, we would’ve probably thought that we were decent). Anyway, a few months later, we’ve hit the rankings. We are (were) ranked 965th in all of Eastern North America and set to climb even higher. Oh but how Rogers likes to just give you the screw job. Over the last 2 or 3 weeks, my connection has been shoddy at best, and we’ve lost over 10 games to disconnects (yes, that’s a lot). Most of the games we’ve disconnected from would’ve almost surely been wins, which would’ve also meant that we would be ranked now at something like 800th or maybe even higher. It’s frustrating to no end. Anyway, I’m now extremely frustrated with Rogers… ugh.

The weekend though… was good. Saturday was a loooong day, but well worth it. I ended up having to be at church at around 9:30am (even though I had slept through my alarm and didn’t actually wake up until 9am… haha) and stayed there until around 5:30pm. We had Wendy Porter come in to give us a workshop/seminar on leading worship and whatnot. It was very well done and I think it taught everyone a bunch of different things on how we can improve our worship. Hopefully we’ll be able to see the differences soon.

Also wanted to go tobogganing yesterday after that crazy snowfall, but alas, -35 degrees isn’t exactly inviting. It’s supposed to warm up a bit this week, so hopefully we’ll have a chance to go this coming weekend or something.

Okay, that’s it, I should get back to work. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, yes, 965th is a big deal. The people that play on this ladder are crazily hardcore. There are literally people who play this game to make a living, and a good living at that. Some people have been known to move to Korea to play professionally (Korea being the hotbed for War3… it’s actually televised there and the players are treated like pro athletes are treated here). Ugh, stupid Rogers.
