And the Playoffs Begin
Mixed feelings about the performance tonight from the Leafs. Yes they won. Yes, my main man AlMo scored a hat trick, but we were getting completely owned for the better part of the game. I think we only got one or two shots on goal in the second period. Not to mention the fact that we may have lost Tucker and Antropov for a couple of games. A win’s a win… but this seriously better not affect the team down the stretch. My prediction – Leafs in 5. Not too worried about whether or not they’ll win the series, but more so about the health of the team. What about those damn Sens though eh? Blown out in the first game. I guess the Presidents’ Trophy means jack all. We’ll see if they can get it together for the next game. I think they’ll probably end up taking the series in 6. On a side note, you know what really bugs me? The people who watch the game, talk a lot during it, and think they know what they’re talking about but really don’t. Stupid jackasses won’t shut up.
Shouldn’t I have been studying instead of watching the game? Yeah probably, but it’s the Leafs’ first game, gotta support. I had my first exam today though. I think it went pretty well. Answered everything, but wasn’t sure on a couple. Hopefully it’ll work out ok. Business is next up, and what a pain it’s going to be. I have such a big beef with the course, but so does the rest of the class. Everything they ask requires a very specific answer, meaning you must use exact terminology. Pretty frustrating… but I guess I’ll just have to study that much harder. I have calc on Wednesday, then I can go home for Easter… yippee! I can tell I’ll need the break. It’s actually been pretty dull around here as of late. A lot of people have gone home before their first exams, so the place is pretty empty. Not much else to do but study, so I guess I don’t really have too many excuses not to do well. But, knowing those stupid business profs, they’ll find some way to screw me over.
I must give massive props to Woburn Robotics yet again for winning the Western Michigan Regional. They were going up against some tough opponents, especially the reigning national champs – Beatty Hammond. With the win, they qualify for the nationals this year, and from what I can tell, they will definitely be bringing the noise. Apparently with the way and everything, they’re only going to be able to bring a limited crew down, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens. Just the field crew and the teachers will be going down, true ghetto Woburn styles. The crappy part though, besides the fact that I can’t go down and watch them compete because of my exam, is that the exam is at the exact same time as when the finals will probably be played. Argh, probably can’t even watch it from here. Oh well, best of luck to Blizzard!
Ralph: Prinscipal Skipple, I mean Prinscipal Skimpster. I found something! It's a spearhead!
Miss Hoover: That's your trowel blade, Ralph, it fell off the handle.
Ralph: And I found it!
