Just a Quick Update

I’m up pretty early this morning… but not really by choice. I was woken up by my grandma when she was calling for my mom. There was a delivery at the door. Hearing this, I jumped out of bed. Yes, it finally arrived (not that it took very long to get here). I’m now looking at my new (well, new to me – refurbed) 19” monitor. I must say, this thing is pretty freakin’ nice. It’s a Dell Trinitron design, so it’s not as flat as it could be, but still, it’s flat enough. I must say it’s pretty heavy though, 50lbs. It seems a lot heavier when it’s in the box, but it’s not too bad I guess. All in all, I think it was a good purchase.

Some other stuff… went to the National Sports clearance store on Sunday. I was quite impressed with what they had there. Nothing fancy, but some good deals. Batting gloves were only $2, some shoes were half off, skates were at a good price, but most importantly, putters and irons - $10. I picked up a 5 iron to go with the set my brother and I are sorta building. I would’ve bought a pitching wedge too, but they didn’t have any.

My dad also said something pretty interesting at the dinner table the other night. It looks like we’re not going to be getting a new car any time soon, and that’s a bummer, but it’s not all too bad. If we wait another model year or so, there’ll be improvements and stuff, so we can look forward to those. The 2003 EL should have better stuff already like rear adjustable headrests, better materials, etc. So hopefully by 2004, they’ll have some even better stuff. The best part of the conversation though, “…I don’t plan on getting any more American cars…”. Ah yes, music to my ears.
