Disconnected (and apparently really long...)

The reason for the title is two fold. Yet again, it's been a good long while since I've posted anything substantial on this. I should probably start by apologizing both for the lack of posts and to everyone back home whom I haven't really spoken to much over these past couple of months. There's been a lot of stuff going on around here, both academically and otherwise. Not that I'm trying to give a reason or excuse. And secondly, the title is there 'cause, well, this post might just be that. I'm probably just going to ramble on for a while....

I've actually been doing a lot of soul-searching lately; trying to figure out where I belong, what I really want to do over these last few terms that will be spent here in Waterloo, what to do afterwards, etc. As shocking as it may be, I've actually come to not mind Waterloo very much anymore. Maybe I might even like it... O_O. I haven't been home very much this term at all, just once for Chinese New Year and for reading week. I don't even know if I'm going to be home at all before the end of exams. And I think it's a sign of what's really in store for me.

Since first year, I've spent a lot of time in Toronto, even when I've been on a school term. Toronto's always been my home and where I've been the most comfortable, but it's about time I step outta there and make my mark. Like I was saying before, I didn't know what to make of what's left of my time here. But slowly and surely, God's been quietly telling me that my place is here, at least for the next little while, and He has some work for me to do. At least, that's where the signs point. I'm nominated as Chair for LCCF next year. And if that falls through, I still think God's leading me to have some kind of impact on the fellowship next year.

Most of you who are reading this will know that I've been in some kind of leadership position back home at church for a while. And that was cool and all, but coming here to WLU and LCCF, I wasn't entirely sure that's what I wanted to do. The whole focus-on-studying mentality was always on my mind, and fellowshipping was something that wasn't a huge priority for me. I thought I could maybe get through university by keeping it fairly low-key in the fellowship, just attending and whatnot, as selfish as that sounds.... Yeah, as though God would let me take and not give back.

Anyway, briefly about other stuff that has/is happening that I may or may not post about... haha.
- LCCF WR was awesome - sylphotography.blogspot.com for pics.
- Crash won for best picture? Bloooood?? Okay, I don't even remember if I posted about it or not, but it certainly didn't deserve to win, even if I hadn't seen the other movies nominated. I'll probably post about this.
- Summer's here soon... looking forward to softball. I'm not done till the 24th of April, but I guess that doesn't matter since I'll be in school during the term anyway.
- Sarah and Rodney's wedding soon...
- Team Canada... so sad. Bertuzzi is my goat. That and I'm blaming it on the fact that PK wasn't on the team. That's right, he would've changed everything.
- Leafs... even sadder. Whatever.
- Raps... lol.
- Jays...? They have potential...
- This post has turned really long. The original title didn't reflect that.
- I got tagged by Abby... sigh... here:

1)Who tagged you?
Abby "I have no shame" Lee

2)In what situation did you meet this person?
I don't remember... obviously at NTCBC at some point.

3)How long have you known this person for?
'Nuff long... or seems like it anyway.

4)What is so special about this person?
She is one of the funniest ppl I know. Seriously, she'll always speak her mind, usually coincidentally at an inapprioriate time. "You know, you actually have fun in this ministry."

5)In your heart, what do you think about this person?
Honesty, sincere, and full of hype. Somewhat of a rarity these days...

6)At this moment, is there anyone you want to meet? Who?
Err... right now? Maybe Stefan Eriksson so I can punch him in the face. Or VC, so I can punch him in the face too.

7)Favourite memory?
Err... well, if it's about Abby, I'll just go ahead and say that time she dissed every other ministry besides VBS. Or maybe that time she rounded 3rd base even though everyone was telling her to stop. Or maybe the game right after that one where she stopped at third when she was supposed to keep going. Hahahahahahahaha...

8)Tag 8 more people
Geez... 8 ppl? Are there even 8 ppl that read this? Let's go with... Umee, since she loves my Engrish (too bad Amber doesn't have a blog...), Acire, Cpt. Obvious, KK, Batman, B00nface(htur), Holz, and Tray

Oh, and about that last survey and who won... well, yeah, we'll see.
