More Reviews

Alright, so here are a couple more reviews...

I, Robot
I had read a few reviews on this one prior to watching it, but I think I still watched it with a fairly open mind. Having said that though, the movie didn't really strike me as... well, it didn't really strike me. It was basically just another Will Smith action flick. As for his own acting, it was what I would expect. Same kinda approach, same kinda humour... which isn't necessarily bad, but been there, done that. I have to note though, the man was freaking ripped. Anyway, the plot itself was father typical I think. Nothing ground-breaking or really extraordinary to note. My major gripe of the movie was the blatant plugs for the sponsoring products (Converse circa 2004??? come on...). The action sequences were really well nice though, I have to admit. Anyway, good for a not-so-mindless action flick, but don't hold your breath for something spectacular. 6/10.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I didn't really hear or read too much about this movie. Only that it was apparently very good, and very different than the usual Jim Carrey comedy. I didn't know the story line, nor did I really know about the concept. But even with that in mind, the film itself was very good indeed. This is definitely one of Carrey's best movies. Up there with The Truman Show. Fairly simple story with a fairly simple plot, but the presentation of it all really made the movie. I think the style really captured what the directors were trying to portray, and the casting was spot-on. Bonus points for having Fro - I mean, Elijah Wood, but negative points for having Kirsten Dunst (yes, I really don't like her). Definitely worth the watch... put it on your list of movies to see if you haven't. 8/10.

Alien vs. Predator
Ok, just based on principle I had to watch this movie.

Yep, that sums it up. But again, based on principle, better than Spiderman. 3.6/10.

Anyway, in case I didn't/won't get a chance to say it to you this weekend, happy Thanksgiving everyone!
