1 Week Down, Too Many to Go...

So the first week of classes have wrapped up. Any news? Not really... most of my classes are sufficiently boring. Not that the subject material itself is boring, but the profs, my goodness.... Take for example my first financial accounting class. It started with a 20 minute survey for double cohort people (it's a second year course, so it consists of mainly dc's). The stupid thing doesn't even apply to me, so I spend some time playing bejeweled. Then the prof spends the rest of the class (an HOUR) going over the course outline. I'm not even joking. The outline is 2 pages front and back, and has nothing out of the ordinary in terms of stuff you'd expect to find on an outline. Freak. I promptly skipped the next class since he was going to teach assets and liabilities. Really.

But it's not all bad I guess. I found out I only have 3 final exams this term because the profs for two of my classes were nice/cruel enough to leave them out. See, it's potentially cruel because the term project and whatnots can be excrutiatingly difficult. I guess I'll just have to see how it turns out. Knowing my luck though, even with three exams, I'll end up having one on the 23rd of December. Let's hope not.

In other news, I met briefly with my co-op coordinator yesterday. It was basically just to review my past work term and what direction I want to go with the one coming up. Job postings go up next week (yes, already), so I have to be all over them if I want a decent chance at a good job. The good thing about all this of course, is that the employment rate for co-op students here at Laurier for the winter term is 100%. So let's hope that trend continues. Oh, and she also told me about this job at Fairmont Hotels. She said I'd have a pretty good chance at getting that job since it's an auditting-type position, but more managerial stuff. Yeah I know what you're thinking, why on earth would you want to do auditting again? right? But this job requires you to fly all over the place for a couple weeks at a time to do audits. Where? Oh I don't know, places like Aculpulco, Hawaii, Vancouver, etc.... Sweet deal eh? Yup, I'm going to be all over that. Let's hope the application process will go as smoothly as last term... hahah, yeah right. Whatever, I guy can hope..
