Youth on a Hill!
It was AWESOME!!! It all started a couple of months ago when a few highschool students received a vision about a city-wide youth revival. They believed that our generation would be the generation that would usher in a new era for Christian living. And the event had no shortage of blessings and miracles in both the planning and the actual evening. When the planning committee got together about a month and a half ago, they approached the people at Mel Lastman Square and asked a question that was unheard of. That is, if they could book the square for a month and a half later, and if they could have it for free. A venue like MLS requires booking at least 6 months in advance, and a modest fee. But low and behold, they got the venue for the date they wanted, and they got it for free. Not only was the venue free, but virtually everything else came at little or no cost as well. Stuff like food (for 5000+!!), printing costs, etc. was all sponsored by various corporations. It was truly by the hand of God did this event take place. Mostly everyone was inspired by the worship and message that night, and a revival is really going to take place in this city.
As with other stuff... BRASIL!!!! The powerhouse is back, and they're going to take it all. Although I must say I'm very impressed with Korea's quality of play this World Cup. It would be quite the battle if they were to make it past Germany and face Brasil for the championship. The dragon boat thing wasn't all too great. All the races were delayed an hour or so, so we only had time to see my bro race once. Must say the UT Meds team didn't fair too poorly though, 3rd in their race and a decent time of about 2.5min. Woburn was there too, but they didn't race until well after we left. Wonder how they did...
